She is pregnant and trying to escape her father who is determined for her to marry a man she doesn't love. She pretends she and Gil are married in exchange for news on his brother who is working the mines for her father for unknown reasons. Her father has stollen sapphires from the ranch so Gil believes his brother is there trying to get them back. But can he escape her father's evil grasp, taking her with him, and willingly leave his brother behind?
