Review: The Astral Library

The Astral Library by Kate Quinn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A young woman finds escape in the library when her world turns upside down. A foster child survivor, she loses her job and someone has stolen her identity, then her roommate tells her she has a week to move out. She goes to the library and ends up in a room that transports her to another world. She soon finds out this secret world is under attack by bureaucracy, people wanting to ban many of the books, and a system that thinks it should monetize the library, thus keeping it out of reach from the very people who need it most. With the help of her new found friend, the librarian, and an old friend, they must face big challenges with the help of magic. But will it be enough to save their precious world?
