Patricia discovers she is a witch while Laurence is a genius scientist in the making. Friends as kids, then separated, they come back together later in life. He is part of a group of scientists trying to build a machine that will take humans to another world because this world seems to be coming to a destructive end. Patricia uses her magic to heal various parts of the world where she can. Each is told the other will cause the end of the world. Who is right and who is wrong and what can be done to save the planet? And will their love for each other save them in the end?
