The Legend of the Candy Cane by Lori Walburg My rating: 5 of 5 stars Man sets up shop in a small town. It's a candy shop. Little girl helps him set up, sees all the candy. She has never seen a candy cane. He tells her the story behind it--J for Jesus, looks like a shepherd's staff, red and white stripes to represent the stripes where Jesus was whipped for our sins, his blood shed to wash us white as snow.
