The Bear by Claire Cameron
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was an amazing book. Intense, I couldn't put it down. The whole premise based somewhat on a real life incident where two campers are attacked and eaten by a bear. In this book the two children of the campers are left to fend for themselves. The story is told from the perspective of the older of the two, a young girl, and you have to interpret all that happens from the eyes of someone too young to totally understand what is happening. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not for the squeamish.
