Review: And Then There Were Four

And Then There Were Four And Then There Were Four by Nancy Werlin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

***SPOILER ALERT***
This was a most enjoyable book. Five teens are at a private school and have a terrible accident. It turns out that their parents are actually trying to kill them. Led by a sadistic manipulative psychiatrist. One teen ends up being killed, leaving 4. Then one gets poisoned and we are led to believe has died. We begin to lose hope as the plan unravels and their plots are revealed. The three are left in the care of a wise school director who shelters them. Then in a twist that even I didn't see coming, the poisoned one makes an appearance, and the manipulator is killed in a freak accident that I'm still wondering if it was intentional or an actual accident, even though I'm happy it happened. To see the bad guy fall is always a good thing. The characters were interesting and believable.
