Sold on a Monday by Kristina McMorris
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was a really enjoyable fictional account of how things were in 1931. A newspaper man trying to make his way, a young woman dealing with a child born "out of wedlock," and children getting "adopted" or sold for labor and so forth, unregulated. It was an interesting view of life in those times, and the characters were believable and relate-able. I would read more by this author.
