Review: The Impossible: The Miraculous Story of a Mother's Faith and Her Child's Resurrection

The Impossible: The Miraculous Story of a Mother's Faith and Her Child's Resurrection The Impossible: The Miraculous Story of a Mother's Faith and Her Child's Resurrection by Joyce Smith
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was an excellent book. I enjoyed it very much. The details of what a mother went through nearly losing her son, then getting him back with prayer. Then she detailed the miracles that occurred. I'm a science geek, so I enjoyed the medical details she described. I had no idea what happens to a drowning victim. Knowing the details makes the miracles that much more obvious. And seeing the struggles the mother faced as she watched God work but was also inundated with various outsiders offering what they considered helpful but not very. Such as people saying don't get your hopes up. It would take a miracle for him to pull through. She remained strong in her faith and her son survived without any issues. The best thing was hearing about Dr. Sutterer in the book. He used to attend our church and I knew him personally. In fact, I had a terrible back issue and he met me at his clinic one Sunday morning before church to help me. Great book and I'm looking forward to seeing the movie.
